FAQ

We are hoping to address the most common questions asked by our clients on this page. If you do not see the answer please come in to ask us.

What is your minimum?

Our shop minimum is $80 plus HST. This covers our basic set up for supplies.

Piercing prices start at $40 plus the cost of jewelry. We have many styles of jewelry to choose from therefore the final price depends on what you select.

How old do you have to be?

For tattooing you must be 18 with valid ID to sign for yourself. We will tattoo as young as 16 with parent/legal guardian present. Both parties require valid ID.

For piercing you must be 16 for most piercing, with the exception of nipples and genital which is 18 plus. We will pierce navel, nostril, lobe and helix on as young as 14 with parent/legal guardian present. Both parties require ID. Please call for list of ID that we require.

*surface piercing and dermal anchors are also 18 years of age

What is the APP?

The Association of Professional Piercers is a California-based, international non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination of vital health and safety information about body piercing to piercers, health care professionals, legislators, and the general public.

The APP helps piercers meet minimum requirements that do not exist in many provinces or states. These requirements include jewelry quality, blood born pathogen training, first aid and knowledge of sterilization. If you want to learn more please visit their site Safepiercing.org

Why do we charge more for piercings?

We deal with this question on a daily basis. We are aware that our piercings are more expensive than most studios.  The reason our jewelry costs more is because it is handmade in North America and meets international standards for implant quality. As well our threading is internally threaded, that means the threading is on the bead not the bar, this is the difference between a smooth transition of jewelry versus the painful insertion of threading going into a new piercing.
